Taufiq Rahim
Taufiq Rahim is visiting fellow and development advisor at the Dubai School of Government. He also is a political analyst and director of GlobeSight, a small advisory group for emerging markets strategy and analysis based in Dubai. His research focuses primarily on the ecosystem of engagement between Muslim communities and the West, issues of conflict and international terrorism, the role of social entrepreneurship in the region, and the idea of “modernization” in the wider Middle East. Taufiq received an A.B. from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School for International Affairs, and an M.P.P. from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He most recently was with McKinsey and Company’s Middle East Office, where he worked on strategy and transformation projects in the public, private and social sectors. Previously, he worked at the Aga Khan Foundation, the United Nations political office in Lebanon, and the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs. He has also served as a volunteer facilitator for Soliya, a non-profit organization dedicated to inter-cultural dialogue.
