Aziz Ajbilou
Dr. Aziz Ajbilou is the Director of Studies, Cooperation and Legislation at the Ministry of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy in Morocco. Dr. Ajbilou is a statistician engineer and is a professor of higher education at the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (INSEA) since 1985. From 2001 – 2006, Dr. Ajbilou was the Director of the Centre of Studies and Demographic Research (CERED). He received a PhD in demography from the Catholic University of Louvain - La Neuve in Belgium and has authored several scientific works on the topic of population and development. He is a member of the scientific committee of several scientifi c publications at the national and international levels, a member the Association of the Moroccan Demographers (president from 1995-2000), of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (UIESP), Union for African Population Studies (UEPA), and the Maghreben Association for the Studies of Population (AMEP).
