MEYI Youth Ambassador Attends Secretary Clinton's Town Hall in Jeddah
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton chaired a town hall meeting with students at Dar Al Hekma College in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on February 16, where she discussed the importance of education, community service, and the participation of women and girls in society.
Alaa Al-Mizyen, Middle East Youth Initiative Youth Ambassador, student at Dar Al Hekma, and participant in the U.S.-Saudi Women’s Forum on Social Entrepreneurship, attended the town hall and met Secretary Clinton following the event. Alaa is pictured at left, shaking Secretary Clinton's hand.
Alaa will soon present her project, Green Jeddah, to the U.S.-Saudi Women's Forum, a one-year public-private program that provides an opportunity for Saudi women to explore civic action, enhance business and leadership skills, and solve social problems. Visit the Forum's blog here.
