Middle East Youth Initiative Collaborates with PBS FRONTLINE Program
29 June 2009
Research by the Middle East Youth Initiative was used to inform a recent feature on PBS's FRONTLINE/World program documenting the youth employment challenge in Egypt. The program, "Egypt: Middle East, Inc.," aired on June 23 and followed students participating in a competition for the most innovative new business plan. The competition is led by INJAZ, a non-profit dedicated to developing work readiness skills, entrepreneurship, and leadership among young people. INJAZ currently operates in twelve countries across the region.
For more on the FRONTLINE program and a compilation of additional resources on Egypt, unemployment in the region, and delayed marriage, see the program's website here.
